# Creating the Weekend Yard email account

**I can't create accounts** — that needs a password and a phone verification, and it has to be
done by a person. Here is exactly what to do; it takes about five minutes.

## Which address

First choice, and worth asking for before anything else:

> **weekendyard@sheltonafterschool.com**

A domain address is more credible than Gmail on a flyer, it survives your mom leaving the role,
and it makes the After School partnership obvious in every reply. Ask whoever runs the
sheltonafterschool.com domain — it costs them nothing to add an alias.

If that is slow or refused, Gmail is completely fine:

| Try in this order | Why |
|---|---|
| `weekendyarddoral@gmail.com` | Matches what you asked for, and "doral" helps locally |
| `theweekendyard@gmail.com` | Cleanest if free |
| `weekendyard.doral@gmail.com` | Dots are ignored by Gmail, so this is the same inbox as the first |
| `hello.weekendyard@gmail.com` | Fallback |

Avoid numbers and underscores — this address gets read aloud at pickup.

## Steps
1. Sign out of other Google accounts, or use a private window.
2. Go to **accounts.google.com/signup** → *For my personal use*.
3. First name `The Weekend`, last name `Yard`.
4. Pick the address from the list above.
5. Use a strong password and save it in a password manager, not a note.
6. Add your mom's mobile for recovery — **and yours as a second recovery address**, so nobody
is locked out if a phone is lost.

## Straight after creating it
- **Signature:**
  > The Weekend Yard · by Shelton After School
  > 9455 NW 40th Street Rd, Doral, FL 33178
  > Calls and texts 970 376 5286 · the-weekend-yard.pages.dev
- **Give her boss access**, or set forwarding, so enquiries are never stuck in one inbox.
- Use it as the reply-to on the parent email. That email says *"or reply to this email"* — make
  that true before sending.
- Put it on the flyer, the rate card and the vendor sheet where the blanks are.

## Then tell me
Send me the address and the Instagram handle together, and I'll fill both into the flyer, rate
card, vendor sheet, website, parent email and all 17 captions in one pass.
